Help with the app, and how to get in touch.

Get in touch

Questions, feedback, or something not working as it should? Email the address below. It goes straight to Dr Azhar Ali, who made the app.

Please never include patient names, dates of birth, or hospital, NHS or accession numbers. A case code like IL-0051 is enough to say which case you mean.

Moving to a new phone

On your old phone, go to Settings and tap Back up now. Choose a passphrase, then save the backup file somewhere your new phone can reach, such as iCloud Drive or Google Drive.

On the new phone, open the app, tap Restore from a backup on the first screen, choose the file and enter the passphrase.

If you forget your backup passphrase

Nobody can open the backup without it, not even Dr Azhar Ali, as the passphrase is never sent anywhere. If your logbook is still on your phone, make a new backup with a new passphrase.

If your supervisor forgets their PIN

On the PIN screen, they tap Forgotten your PIN? and set a new one. Cases they’ve already validated stay validated, and the date of the new PIN shows in your logbook review.

Exporting for ARCP or appraisal

Go to Settings, then Export for your portfolio. Choose a PDF logbook, a spreadsheet or a CSV file, and the dates it covers. Consultants make a one-page appraisal summary instead.

Deleting your logbook

Your logbook is only on your phone, so deleting the app deletes it. For the web version, clear the website’s data in your browser. Make a backup first if you might want it again.
